0x32 DSP Volume

Radio 0x68 → DSP 0x6a

The radio uses the same direction/step encoding as the BMBT and MFL volume controls when applying volume changes to the DSP amplifier.

Example Frames

68 04 6A 32 11 25   # Up 1 step
68 04 6A 32 30 04   # Down 3 steps
68 04 6A 32 31 05   # Up 3 steps

Parameters

Fixed length. One byte bitfield.

DIRECTION   = 0b0000_0001
STEPS       = 0b1111_0000

Direction 0b0000_0001

DIRECTION_DOWN    = 0b0
DIRECTION_UP      = 0b1

Steps 0b1111_0000

Number of volume steps to apply.

The BM54 splits larger internal volume changes into repeated messages with a maximum of three steps per frame.
